Woah Oh Oh. Oooah. Oa. Oah. That one song and the Generator update


 First pass for the Generator is done.  I'm going to have to connect the tablet so I can start subtracting paint and establishing grunge and wear.  Also, there is going to be some water seeping through, but I think I might research the pros and con for adding it in Substance vs Unreal.  I was watching a Gnoman Live video of Gurmukh Bhasin and how he designs.  It was great vehicle and mechanical planning, which appeals to me and my future goals.  I'll sit on those great words by him tonight, as well as the generator.

Lab Pool progress

Today I unwrapped the generator that powered the terminal.  I also setup the materials and a temp water in the scene.  It's a good time to be working on this scene!

Double Post! Keyshot is fireee!!

Im double posting because Keyshot is dope and has given me good renders! I'm still in the trial version but hoo boi I want a copy someday!  This piece was removed from my current scene, but I do want to make some high quality renders from this, since there's a good amount of time I put into it.



Terminals a blepp

Uv Unwrapping the terminal for this scene has been exhausting.  I've spent a few hours each night make it all fit.  I modeled plenty of crevices to get more detail, but it adds time to the process.  I'm okay with this flow, I just need to find a way to reduce UV Unwrapping time

Difficulties and progress

Work is stressing me out now and it's affecting me.  I'm going to do a post-mortem after my contract ends to assess myself and what I've learned.  Until then, I need to dedicate time to making this scene. I finished up some more assets, with this server floor being the latest addition.

First Phase of Unreal Assembling

Begining to assemble a first pass phase on the environment.  Some early unreal shots to document the blossoming of this flower!  I plan to model lots of the detail, then use Substance to get those extra amounts added in, such as rust, scratches, chips etc.

Starting some asset materials

I've unwrapped a few more parts this past weekend, and now I'm stating the first material pass.  I aim to do at least 2 more passes on the materials for the final scene.

Continuing an oldie

Need to do more hardsurface! This weekend, I'll aim to get more of the mechanical arm belt and walls done.  If possible I'll unwrap and texture the big floor hatch.
